Brief Background

The Information Technology Act 2000 is an act passed by the Parliament of India on 17 October 2000. This was amended by an announcement on 27 October 2009. The Information Technology Act, 2000 has been substantially amended through the Information Technology Amendment Act, 2008, which was passed by both the Houses of the Indian Parliament on 23 December
