Jal Nigam is working on various water supply schemes across Madhya Pradesh to ensure clean water reaches all villages. To monitor this, the department requires a GIS-based solution. This Mobile App is utilized to monitor the progress of various components as per the schemes concerning the hierarchy. Data is collected through the GIS-based Mobile App, which includes pipeline and related data along with photographs, videos, latitude/longitude coordinates, etc. A GIS-based web application will be used for monitoring and assigning work by department users.

Project Details

Brief Background

The Department intends to develop a Mobile App for the survey and mapping of water supply system components. This app will be used by the department to monitor the progress of various components as per the schemes, with respect to the hierarchical structure. The data collected through the Mobile App will be editable, and the location of the components will be captured with the help of photographs. The specific objectives of the project are as follows: Monitoring of field work Streamlining work processes Mapping assets across various schemes Capturing geo-tagged photos for effective asset management Analyzing planned and actual work with easy-to-use visualization tools to enhance monitoring and analysis capabilities Uploading drawings of approved planned work as per DPR Providing online support

Objective

The project involves creating an intuitive GIS-based web portal and mobile app. The web portal will allow the department to plan activities, monitor real-time progress, assign tasks to the field team, and generate customized reports. It will also offer various administrative features to facilitate efficient management.
