Project Details

Brief Background

e-District is a State Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) Government of India which was initiated in Year 2008.The Project aims to target high volume citizen centric services and to undertake backend computerization to enable the delivery of these services through common service centers at the doorsteps of the citizen along with online Portal.It is aimed at bringing transparency and trustworthiness among the people in delivering services with economically affordable fees.e-District has been envisaged by the GoUP as automation of workflow and internal process of district administration with the possibility of seamless integration of various services covered under the project like Caste Income Domicile Birth/Death certificates Pension Khatauni etc.Uttar Pradesh became the first State in the country to roll out e-District project in all the 75 District of the State.e-district Labs have been established upto block level with Desktops Printers and Network equipments.Presently 323 Government to Citizen (G2C) services of 47 departments are operational (Go-Live) in 75 districts through e-District Portal.Till date more than 35.10 Crores applications have been processed through e-District and number of applications of increasing day by day as well as number of services are too rising. More than 4 Cr. transactions occur in a year.The e-District portals are cloud enabled & hosted at Uttar Pradesh State Data Centre (UPSDC).e-Sath? mobile app is also available for status tracking of application submitted by citizen.e-District Uttar Pradesh is a single window portal for G2C Services in the State.The e-District services are available on U.P. Common Service Center (CSC) network and online for Citizens.

Benefits

? Uttar Pradesh was the first state in the country where State Wide Roll-out e-District Project is successfully implemented. ? End to End automation of service delivery. ? Application is hosted at State Data Center. ? Currently 325 services along with janhit guarantee notified services are delivered successfully through e-District Portal. Digitally certified certificate are issue from e-District Portal.High Volume Citizen Centric Services are Caste Income Domicile Khatauni Solvency Birth/Death Ration Card Driving License Duplicate RC Disability Certificate Scholarship Pension Farmer Registration Labour Registration Mark sheets Degree Certificates etc ? e-District Uttar Pradesh has been presented with the Gems Of Digital India Award 2019 (analysts Choice) for excellence in e-Governance ? Till date 36.90 Cr certificate has been issued to the citizens of UP

Implementation Methodology

Initially e-District State Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan and has been Successfully rolled out in 6 pilot districts (Gautam Budh Nagar Ghaziabad Sultanpur Sitapur Gorakhpur and Rae Bareli) of the state since December 2008. After successful implementation of project in 6 pilot district state has decided to rolled-out the project in remaining 69 districts of the state.
