The Department of Commercial Tax intends to initiate the development of a Web Portal and Mobile APP for the Physical Verification of Commercial dealers. This system significantly improves the ability of commercial tax authorities to monitor and enforce compliance among dealers. By combining physical inspections with advanced data analysis and geo-tagging technology, the system helps in identifying suspicious dealers and taking appropriate enforcement actions. This not only enhances revenue collection but also ensures a fair and transparent tax system.

Project Details

Brief Background

The Mobile App and Web Portal, enables the commercial tax authorities to identify the suspicious dealers, by physically visit the GEO tagged office/addresses, through the data collected by Web and Mobile App. Department can take appropriate action like GSTN Cancellation, ITC Block/ITC Trail etc. for the Suspicious Dealer.

Objective

The primary objective of the Mobile App and Web Portal project is to provide commercial tax authorities with robust tools to enhance their monitoring and enforcement capabilities. This system aims to:

Enhance Monitoring Efficiency: Improve the thoroughness and effectiveness of business monitoring by combining physical inspections with advanced geo-tagged data collection.

Identify Suspicious Dealers: Use sophisticated data analysis algorithms to identify dealers whose activities appear suspicious, based on inconsistencies in reported business activities, discrepancies between declared and observed infrastructure, unusual transaction patterns, and mismatched locations.

Facilitate Informed Decision-Making: Provide detailed insights into business activities and potential fraud through a comprehensive dashboard and reporting features, enabling tax authorities to make informed decisions and prioritize enforcement actions.

Increase Data Accuracy and Integrity: Ensure that data collected during field visits is accurate, verifiable, and securely stored in a centralized database, reducing the chances of errors or fraudulent reporting.

Form B Submission: Upon Form A approval, fill out and submit Form B for further approval.
Admin Capabilities: Admins can approve/reject forms and view verification statuses, ensuring a streamlined and transparent process.

Physical Verification and Geo-Tagging: The Mobile App enables physical visits to geo-tagged dealer addresses, ensuring accurate location verification and reliable data collection.

Monitoring and Enforcement Actions: Identify suspicious dealers through collected data, allowing the Department to take actions such as GSTN cancellation, ITC block, or ITC trail, ensuring strict enforcement of tax regulations.
