Sarthak is a GIS-based attendance management system developed by MPSEDC. The core architecture of Sarthak is API-based, and it can be easily integrated with any HRMS system. Sarthak currently has more than 1.10 lakh users, including 55 districts and 1,090 government department offices, such as hospitals, universities, courts, etc where employees mark their attendance, activities daily through the Sarthak mobile application. SARTHAK is enabled with Mobile (Android, iOS) for attendance, activities and tour marking. Web based module for reporting and administration operations. It is highly customizable and having intuitive functions of location, image capture, calculating the distance from the base location of the staff/users. The web module is role based, enabling Individual users to visualize. My Team, Profile, Reports etc. It enables State Admin, Office Admin, Reporting Officers to monitor the attendance records to visualize the statistical reports of the staff members.

Brief Background
SARTHAK is an GIS enabled attendance management system, developed by MPSEDC. Around 1.10 lakh active users, of 1090+ offices, of various departments of MP Govt. uses SARTHAK for their daily attendance and activities. SARTHAK is enabled with Mobile (Android, iOS) and Web based attendance module.- It is highly customizable and having intuitive functions of location, image capture, calculating the distance from the base location of the staff/users.
- It facilitates mark GPS Lock / GPS Fencing Based Attendance, Activities, Tours, of employees/users.
- The web module is role based, enabling Individual users to visualize. My Team, Profile, Reports etc.
- It enables State Admin, District Admin, Reporting Officers to monitor the records and visualize the statistical reports of the staff members.
- SARTHAK provides services which are API based. It is integrated with any HRMS also.
Objective
The objective of SARTHAK is to provide a comprehensive, reliable, and user-friendly GIS enabled attendance management solution for government department offices in Madhya Pradesh. SARTHAK aims to streamline GIS based attendance, activity and tour marking through the mobile. By leveraging GPS technology, face capture, authentication, and real-time data synchronization, it ensures accurate and efficient attendance management. Additionally, SARTHAK empowers administrators with tools for reports, validating, and generating analytical reports, enhancing accountability, transparency, and operational efficiency across departments.
Benefits
Benefits of the Sarthak:- Sarthak is a GIS-based attendance management system, application is enabled with GPS Lock / GPS fencing. Once enabled, the users are allowed to check-in and check-out at the specified location.
- Face Recognize : Users / employees will take a picture of themselves in real time while punching check-in and check-out for attendance. Using which every punch of the user can click their real time image.
- Face Authentication: Face authentication ensures that the person marking attendance is physically present, reducing the likelihood of proxy attendance or fraudulent attempts by someone else on behalf of the intended participant.
- Multiple Shift: Sarthak also facilitates a multi-shift attendance marking system and allows users to mark their attendance for assigned shifts.
- Daily Attendance Status : Employee should be see their own attendance status on a daily basis. Based on the check-in, Check out punches.
- Offline Check-in : Even if there is no internet/Wi-fi signal available, still SARTHAK application can able to capture the GPS co-ordinates of location (Latitude & Longitude). Once the phone connected to the internet data get sync in database. Check-out needs Online connectivity.

Implementation Methodology
The implementation of the SARTHAK Attendance Management System for MPSEDC across various departments and offices of the Madhya Pradesh Government will follow a structured approach. This methodology ensures that the system is deployed efficiently, with all users and departments fully equipped to utilize its features.- Before adding any department understanding the departmental hierarchy and customizing the system to meet the unique needs of various offices and users.
- Define and creates the roles based users (State Admin, Office Admin, Reporting Officers, Individual Users) based on the hierarchy and functions within the departments.
- At the first usage (after login), user to mark/set the default location. Current location, will be automatically displayed, to choose.
- To mark attendance, user choose either Check-In / Check-Out. User’s GEO Tagged, image is captured along-with the time.
- Check-In enables in Online/Offline Mode. Offline check-in gets automatically synched with server, when ever user comes online, during the 24hrs.
- Remote attendance marking, is also facilitated, on choosing the appropriate reason of remote marking/attendance.
- Generate Multiple types of attendance report for analysis.
- Integrate SARTHAK with existing HRMS systems via API for synchronization of employee details and attendance data.
- Conduct detailed training sessions for all users, including administrators and employees, to familiarize them with SARTHAK’s functionalities such as attendance marking, activity logging, tour reporting,
- Provide comprehensive user guides and technical support to ensure smooth adoption by the users.
