Khadi, known for its cultural significance and its role in promoting rural employment, is an essential part of India's heritage and economy. Madhya Pradesh, home to a rich tradition of Khadi and village industries, has a large number of rural artisans involved in the production of Khadi products. However, the procurement process for these products has often faced challenges such as inefficiencies, lack of transparency, and limited access to larger markets. To address these issues, the Khadi eProcurement Portal was developed to streamline procurement, encourage fair competition, and provide rural artisans and Khadi producers with wider market opportunities.
