Brief Background
The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) is responsible for ensuring safe drinking water supply and adequate sanitation facilities throughout Madhya Pradesh, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. Managing a vast number of water infrastructure projects, including the construction and maintenance of pipelines, water treatment plants, and distribution systems, requires meticulous planning and coordination. To overcome inefficiencies and delays caused by manual processes and scattered project data, the PHED Works Management System was introduced to digitize and automate project workflows.
