Brief Background

The Student Academic Management System (SAMS) is a pioneering e-governance initiative in Odisha, designed to streamline academic admissions and post-admission administration across a wide range of educational institutions. Launched to enhance transparency and efficiency, SAMS operates under five key departments: Higher Education, School & Mass Education, Skill Development & Technical Education, Sports & Youth Services, and Odia Language, Literature & Culture. It facilitates admissions for courses such as junior (+2), degree (+3), vocational, ITIs, polytechnics, teacher education, and physical education. SAMS aims to create a student-centric academic ecosystem, reducing administrative burdens while improving access to educational services and data-driven decision-making for administrators across the state.
