Brief Background

Counselling Portals have been instrumental in streamlining and modernizing the selection and allocation processes for various government department vacancies. Previously, the traditional method of conducting counselling sessions required candidates to be physically present at centralized locations, often leading to logistical challenges, delays, and inconvenience. Recognizing the need for a more efficient and accessible solution, the Government of Odisha introduced the system e-Counselling Portal.

Objective

In the dynamic landscape of hiring, it is imperative to establish a user-friendly platform that enables candidates to seamlessly engage in the e-counseling process. This system is customized to meet this requirement, ensuring a fair and accessible method for candidates to participate in the selection process for various positions within the government.

Benefits

The e-Counselling Portal offers several key benefits:

1. Convenience: Candidates can do their choice locking of vacancies from the comfort of their own homes, eliminating travel time and allowing for more flexible scheduling. Traditional method of conducting counselling sessions required candidates to be physically present at centralized locations, often leading to logistical challenges, delays, and inconvenience.

2. Accessibility:  People in remote areas or with limited mobility can access counselling services that might not be available locally.

3. Cost-Effective: It can be more affordable than traditional in-person counselling, as overhead costs are lower for providers.
