The CCTNS project was launched in 2009 with the goal of integrating the records of various law enforcement agencies across the country. Punjab was one of the early adopters of the CCTNS portal implementing it in 2011. The portal has undergone several upgrades and enhancements over the years to improve its functionality and user experience.
