Brief Background
The Mizoram Handholding Scheme also known as Bana Kaih was launched by the Chief Minister of Mizoram as a flagship initiative to empower the economically weaker sections of the society including farmers and small-scale entrepreneurs. The scheme focuses on providing financial assistance facilitating business growth and promoting self-sufficiency within the state. This is part of Mizoram?s broader objective to stimulate economic activities at the grassroots level and create an ecosystem conducive to sustainable development.
Objective
? To support the financial and entrepreneurial aspirations of beneficiaries by offering financial aid thereby encouraging self-employment and income generation. ? To promote access to credit through collateral-free and interest-free loans making it easier for economically marginalized groups to start or expand their businesses. ?
