The Department of Information of UT Ladakh, is responsible for communication about the policies, programmes and activities of the Administration. The Department disseminates information directly on social media and digital media and also coordinates with private and public media houses for wider dissemination of information through print, electronic and new media. The Department accredites local journalists and empanels local multi-media agencies for producing creative contents for different Departments of the Administration. The Department formulates the advertisement policy of the Administration of UT Ladakh and releases advertisement and campaigns to different newspapers, radio and television channels. The Department also works for nurturing the local Film Industry through workshops and Film Festivals.
