To empower the youth of Bihar and make them self-sufficient, Government of Bihar, has decided to start three schemes for students. These schemes are
A.    Self-help allowance (SHA): Any permanent resident of Bihar who has passed class 12th from any school of Bihar, not studied/studying after 12th and is in search of employment and is in the age bracket of 20 to 25 years, will receive an SHA of Rs.1000 per month for a maximum period of 2 years.
B.    Bihar Student credit card (BSCC): Any resident of Bihar who has passed class 12th (10th for Polytechnic) and is pursuing or have taken admission for higher studies in any one of the listed streams as per programme guidelines in a recognized institute is entitled for an education loan up to Rs. 4 lakhs with interest rate of 1% (for female, transgender and disabled) and 4% for others upon satisfactory loan appraisal.
C.    Skill Development Programme (Kushal Yuva Program): Anyone who has passed class 10th exam can avail the facility of getting trained in basic computer, spoken English and behavioral skills.

Benefits

BSCC(Bihar Student Credit Card)A maximum loan amount of Rs. 4 lakh. Avail loan for polytechnic, technical and general courses. Monetary assistance to buy books and laptops or pay the fees
SHA(Self Help Allowance)
Under this scheme, unemployed youth between the age of 20-25 years who in search of employment, will be given Rs. 1000 per month for a maximum period of two years.
KYP(Khushal Yuva Program)
Package of Life skills, Communications Skills (English & Hindi) and Basic computer literacy will increase the employability of youth.
It will help in smooth shift from homes to places with high employment potential.
