Brief Background

Planning Department, Government of Meghalaya had initiated eFiles system under Meghalaya Enterprise Architecture (MegEA), which is designed to provide a platform to create, send and track Non-Financial files across various stakeholders.

Objective

eFiles System of the State Government of Meghalaya is built in a low code no code platform, developed along the lines of India Enterprise Architecture, built to digitally transform Non-Financial files including Daks. The system has successfully eliminated the age-old practice of paper-based communication and brought the entire file movements into an online stream helping the state government to increase the efficiency of inter/intra-departmental communication, file creation and a robust file tracking mechanism.

Benefits

Adoption of eProposal in the state has resulted many benefits,                                                 
 • Around 5000 users from 55 departments and 58 agencies/directorates are onboarded in the system resulting 100% increase in number of files created in the state.  
File creation has become paperless and tracking of files can be done
