DITE&C Goa launched the e-District (GoaOnline) portal in the year 2017 with the aim of providing single window access to all government services in order to ensure a convenient, hassle free, affordable, time bound and transparent delivery of G2C, G2G and G2B services.
Project Details
Brief Background
e-District is one of the Mission Mode Projects (MMP) under NeGAP, Government of India. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India is the Nodal Agency with mandate to roll out the project.
The MeitY had sanctioned this project in the year 2011 with a total funding of Rs. 9.88 Crore to Government of Goa, which is being rolled out through Department of Information Technology (DOIT), Government of Goa as a Nodal Department.
Objective
e-District (GoaOnline) portal aims to provide single window access to all government services in order to ensure a convenient, hassle free, affordable, time bound and transparent delivery of G2C, G2G and G2B services.
Benefits
Single Window Portal for all G2B and G2C services developed on highly scalable and sustainable framework Efficient delivery of services with improved service levels by undertaking extensive Business Process Re Engineering of identified services. Extensive Capacity Building and training of field level functionaries to ensure smooth migration to electronic delivery of Goa Online services and phasing out manual delivery of services. Delivery of services through Common Service Centers (CSCs) by leveraging a common infrastructure of SWAN, SDC and SSDG. Development of applications to be hosted at the State Data Centers for delivery of services. Delivery of all public services at District/Sub District level in electronic form through State Portals by using the State Service Delivery Gateway. Providing easy, anywhere and anytime access to Government Services (both information and transactional) to ensure reliability, efficiency, transparency and accountability. Reducing number of visits of citizens to a Government office/department for availing the services. Reducing administrative burden and service fulfillment time and costs for the Government, Citizens and business. Reducing direct interaction of citizen with the Government and encourage ‘e’-interaction and efficient communication through portal.
Implementation Methodology
