Mahiti Kanaja is a single-window unified web portal that empowers citizens to know how public funds are being spent for the overall development of the State and its people. It is a web disclosure portal that enables the Government of Karnataka to comply with the Right to Information Act, particularly Section 4(2) of the Act which states - ?It shall be a constant endeavor of every public authority to provide as much information suo moto to the public at regular intervals through various means of communications, including internet, so that the public have minimum resort to the use of this Act to obtain information
Project Details
Brief Background
Mahiti Kanaja is an Umbrella portal with no username or password where citizens can obtain all public services and scheme information in a timely manner without filing an RTI. It is a one-stop platform where Government discloses information related to the functioning of public institutions across the stages of planning and budgeting hence it is step in bringing more transparency and accountability in governance.

Implementation Methodology
Initially the department has to Nominate a nodal officer. The preliminary meeting will be scheduled between the Nodal officer and Mahiti Kanaja team Technical discussion scheduled between the Mahiti Kanaja team and the department Data requirements analysis and cleansing will be performed once we obtain the data from the department.
