Imparting of specialized training and enhancing the knowledge, skills of the employees in various facts of e-Governance and ICT is envisaged

Project Details

Brief Background

The Karnataka Web Portal project initiated by the Centre for e-Governance aims to design develop maintain and update websites for various government departments secretariats commissionerates authorities and other agencies. The web portal team also trains officials to ensure their websites are consistently updated. All websites are designed in accordance with the Government of India?s guidelines on usability user-centricity and Accessibility standards like WCAG are considered to ensure the portal is usable by individuals with disabilities. as well as recommendations from the Kannada Abhivrudhi Pradhikara.

Objective

The Karnataka Web Portal project aims to improve the digital framework of government services in the state by prioritizing accessibility usability and current information across multiple platforms. Through extensive training for officials and compliance with national standards the project seeks to develop inclusive websites that serve all users including those with disabilities. Additionally by integrating insights from the Kannada Abhivrudhi Pradhikara the initiative promotes a user-focused design enhancing public engagement and overall satisfaction with government services.
