In the context of increasing the use of Kannada in the digital age, 'E-Kannada' is a web platform that provides knowledge and technology information in Kannada. As part of this project "Padakanaja" website has been launched to make Kannada dictionaries and dictionaries available for public use.

Brief Background
The Padakanaja Project is initiated by the Centre for e-Governance. In the context of increasing the use of Kannada in the digital age E-Kannada is a web platform that provides knowledge and technology information in Kannada. As part of this project Padakanaja website has been launched to make Kannada dictionaries and dictionaries available for public use
Objective
On Padakanaja website the public can get the meanings of the collected Kannada or English word. Many important dictionaries already published are being progressively published here with permission for non-commercial academic and research use. The meanings of a word in various dictionaries are listed here.
Benefits
Public Kannada teachers - any user can contribute word which is not in this collection here. Such new words will be published before a committee of experts constituted by the Government for approval. Kannada words to be used in various government departments and software are classified here as administrative words in view of the implementation of Kannada in administration. Padakanaja website which has been started with the aim of expanding existing knowledge and creating new knowledge. It is our hope that the love of Kannada should be spread on digital platforms all Kannadigas should increase the use of Kannada and save and develop the Kannada language.
Implementation Methodology
Implementation is based on new words of Standard Dictionaries It includes Publisher List of Dictionariies approved by committee of experts top searched kannada terms Domain specific terms for ex: Administrative words University Science and Technologies and HorticultureImplementing Agency Details
