The Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department implements the works at Gram Panchayat/ Villages through various implementing agencies such as Karnataka Rural Road Development Agency (KRRDA), Panchayat Raj Engineering Department (PRED), Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL), Karnataka Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department (KRWSSD), Zilla Panchayats, Taluk Panchayats and Gram Panchayats. The department has devised a mechanism in order to monitor the implementation, physical and financial progress and completion of the works through a new software application called Gandhi Sakshi Kayaka 2.0 (GSK 2.0).
Project Details
Brief Background
RDPR department takes up many civil works across the state. To manage the physical and financial progress of the works RDPR has envisaged the need for a Works Management System to monitor the progress and also make online payment to the contractors.
Objective
Monitor Works from the Physical and Financial progress perspective and release payments online to the contractors.
Benefits
1. Seamless release of Payments: Rs. 1 700+ Crores payment advise generated & Rs. 900+ Crores released directly to contractors online. 2. 6 agencies (KRRDA PRED RWS Taluk Panchayats Gram Panchayats KRIDL) onboarded to the unified platform. 3. Avoid duplicate and fate Works achieved through Integrations with GIS e-Office & Payment Gateway. 4. More than 6 Lakhs Rural works from work initiation to payment disbursement managed online
