The Aim of this portal is to simplify and streamline the clearance process of RoW approvals for over ground and underground telecom infrastructure.

Brief Background
Telecom Service Providers, ISPs and other establishments who need to obtain RoW permissions from State Government will be immensely benefitted from the MahaSanchar Portal because it will facilitate: Applying for RoW permission for any state of India in one place Centralized tracking of applications disposal status Automated alerts on application processing updates Centralized help desk availability Faster approval of applications since pendency will be monitored by the Communications Ministry Faster rollout of services like 5G, Fiberisation of Towers, and Broadband connectivity to Citizens/Institutions.
Objective
Maha Sanchar Portal will enable applicants from Telecom Services Providers (TSPs), Infrastructure Providers (IPs), Internet Services Providers (ISPs) etc. to apply for RoW approvals for laying Optical Fiber Cables (OFC) and erecting Telecom infrastructures like Towers etc. to submit their applications to various agencies of State/UT Governments and local bodies.
