Project Details
Brief Background
Tamil Nadu is a forerunner among the states in enacting a law for providing social security cover to the unorganised workers. The Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act 1982 and the schemes enacted therein provide social security schemes and welfare assistances to the Unorganised Workers engaged in the 54 (Construction) + 70 (Manual) categories of employments specified in the schedule appended to the Act.
Objective
To provide benefits under various welfare assistances under various welfare scheme run by the Board.
Benefits
Access to various services for workers in the unorganized sector facilitates registration and welfare schemes offers real-time information and enhances transparency in benefit distribution.
