The scope of the project is to develop a user-friendly, web-enabled information management and monitoring system to effectively implement child protection Programmes implemented in the State of Tamil Nadu. Through this proposed project, the issues faced during the child registration should be rectified. The proposed CPIMMS application also needs to align with the Juvenile Justice Act.
Project Details
Brief Background
The Department of Children?s Welfare and Special Services oversees the child protection programs implemented in Tamil Nadu. This proposed project aims to address the challenges encountered during child registration. Additionally the CPIMMS application must comply with the Juvenile Justice Act.
Objective
The project must converge the functioning of the following departments: - Child Care Institutions (CCIs) - Juvenile Justice Boards (JJBs) - Child Welfare Committees (CWCs) - Children in Conflict with Law (CICL) - Children in need of Care and Protection (CNCP) - Registration and Renewal process of the Child Care Institutions (CCIs). Cases dealt by Juvenile Justice Boards status of cases & JJB orders admission into Observation homes/Special homes. homes/Place of safety follow up of children being admitted into Child Care Institutions (CCIs). Cases History Present status of children in CCI in terms of protection health education and other developments needs to be captured in detail for the higher officials to track. Tracking of Probation Officer (PO) & Legal-cum-Probation Officer (LPO) pending cases Registration of CCI and its approval process and entire Child care management done by each CCI needs to be captured in detail for transparency Purpose. After care and follow up of children discharged from CCIs to be captured. Monitoring all DCPU and its working process.
