The CMBFS scheme operates in 34,982 schools catering to students from classes I to V throughout Tamil Nadu. Urban schools have centralized cooking centers where food for respective schools is prepared and transported via vehicles, while rural schools prepare and serve food on their premises. Monitoring of all activities is facilitated through the CMBFS app and dashboard developed by TNeGA.

Brief Background
Designed for monitoring the district and state-level officers to oversee breakfast delivery at the school level.Objective
The Government and Government Aided schools participating in the Chief Minister Breakfast scheme currently numbering 34 982 along with 198 cooking centers are integrated into the CMBFS application. This integration includes the schools UDISE codes their names location types (urban or rural) the respective municipality/corporation/block they belong to and the planned number of students they cater to. User credentials have been established for all schools cooking centers district-level officers and state-level officers. Schools and cooking centers will access the mobile application to input cooking and food service details. To ensure timely food delivery time restrictions have been enforced and are under continuous monitoring. Schools are required to enter the following information: 1) Start time for cooking and the day s menu 2) Number of cooks involved 3) Number of students for whom the food is being prepared 4) End time for cooking with accompanying photos 5) Commencement of breakfast service with photos 6) Conclusion of breakfast service with photos including the number of students who benefited Some schools share common cooking centers where food is prepared at a central location and then transported to multiple schools. In such cases cooking centers will input the details of food preparation and delivery while respective schools will record the remaining food service and beneficiary information. Additionally schools have the capability to track the real-time location of delivery vehicles via the mobile application. The dashboard is intended for use by district and state-level officers to monitor breakfast delivery at the school level.Benefits
