Brief Background

platform is a unified digital system for delivering government benefits directly to eligible beneficiaries bank accounts using a unique identifier like Aadhaar. After ID verification departments can initiate payments through a secure process with automated reporting on transaction statuses. The platform also provides officials with analytics on transactions enhancing transparency and efficiency in benefit distribution.

Direct transfers reduce intermediaries minimizing opportunities for fraud and corruption

Benefits

Beneficiaries receive support through key state-sponsored schemes such as the Kalaignar Mahalir Urimai Thittam (KMUT) Pudhumai Penn Scheme (PPS) Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme (TPS) and the Monthly Maintenance Grant (MG) for Disabled Persons alongside state and centrally-sponsored schemes like the Post-Matric and Pre-Matric Scholarship programs. These initiatives are administered via the DBT platform ensuring direct secure and efficient transfers to eligible recipients
