Brief Background
Tamil Nadu Geographical Information System (TNGIS) program is being implemented by Tamil Nadu eGovernance Agency (TNeGA).TNGIS integrates a wide array of geographical data into a centralized platform enabling efficient mapping analysis and visualization of spatial information. This system supports various government departments in planning development and disaster management by providing accurate and up-to-date geospatial data. TNGIS provides support in Collecting GIS data from various sources and validating the same. It helps in decision-making and fostering sustainable development in managing GIS data of Tamil Nadu In the current scenario the applications and dataset generated by TNGIS is to be utilised for all operational decision-making processes across all departments
