eFT IT Solution has been developed for tracking, identification and deportation of illegal foreign immigrants entering and residing in the state of Assam. It is an application for creating a digital eco-system which enables capturing of the biographic/biometric data of suspected foreign nationals. eFT Application enables the users to process a complete cycle of suspected foreigners case from detection to handling over to Transit Camp, as well as monitoring and tracking of cases by Supervisory Officers. Various stakeholders such as Foreigners Tribunals, Police Stations, Transit Camps, etc. are associated with the project.
Project Details
Brief Background
To expedite the disposal of cases in a time bound manner by Foreigners Tribunals of Assam in a digital mode.
As the existing FT’s are working in standalone mode with manual process, it has been conceptualized to modernize Foreigner Tribunals and other stakeholders with state of art IT enabled system to facilitate common database for all stakeholders with online processing of cases in an integrated platform.
Border Police Organization, Foreigner Tribunals, Detention Centre, Election Registration Offices, Home Department, State, etc., are the primary stakeholders.
Objective
It has been proposed to develop eFT application for client-server work flow model for centralized database creation & data processing, storage, backup, reporting and sharing among stakeholders and with internal & external agencies using various web services. Th e-FT integrated platform will enhance service delivery capability through e-governance process, ensuring transparency, creating digital data repository for seamless information sharing with various stakeholders. The online eFT solution will assist various stakeholders for expeditious disposal of cases, information sharing, review, audit using a common database to ensure there is no mismatch of data. The new IT system with tools and defined process will help Border Police Organization & FTs to manage the cases efficiently.

Implementation Methodology
Project was implemented in the following way:
· e-FT Application, database design, development, testing and Go-Live has been done.
· IT automation of available FTs, Border Police, Detention Center
· eFT Project go-live with necessary addition of hardware/software & solutions.
· The e-FT application was developed for a single window system for creation of a common database and sharing of information electronically.
· e-FT application facilitates work flow model from detection to deportation of a suspect with all standard features of IT enabled systems like SMS / email integration, GIS mapping of suspect locations/residence etc.
· Project Go-live.
