This project was envisaged to make the development of scheduled tribe classes and protection of the interests assigned to it. To discharge its responsibilities, where the department is operating many supplementary welfare programs with educational and economic upliftment, on one hand, similarly being a nodal department regarding the sub-plan program and special intermediary scheme, undertaking the task of budget provision for schemes and monitoring by playing the role of a coordinator between various development departments, improve accuracy and timeliness for preparation of accounts, and bring about transparency and efficiency in public delivery systems, better tribal welfare schemes management along with the improved quality of governance in the state.

Project Details

Brief Background

The MP Tribal Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, developed the Integrated Madhya Pradesh Tribal Affairs & Scheduled Caste Welfare Automation System (MPTAASC) to streamline the management of welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes (SC), Tribes (ST) & Other Backward Class (OBC). Initially launched by the Tribal Department in 2018, the SC & OBC Department joined in 2021, followed by DPI in 2023.

Objective

To enhance the coordination and monitoring of welfare programs, improve budget allocation, and ensure accurate accounting through the MPTAASC system. By integrating with platforms such as e-District (Income & Caste), Samagra, UIDAI, Admission & Fee Data departments, BANKS, PFMS, and Paricahi, the system aims to automate key processes, including admissions, school and hostel management, inventory control, and fund allocation. This initiative seeks to boost operational efficiency, minimize manual intervention, and enhance transparency in governance.
