The Women and Child Development Department has been formed to implement various programs and schemes in a systematic manner for the all-round development of women and children and for the protection and promotion of their constitutional interests. Integrated Child Development Services is the flagship service of the department, which was started on 02 October 1975 and in terms of expansion of the program, it is the biggest ongoing project in the world.

Implementation Methodology
Chhattisgarh Women Commission is being run to empower women and make them self-reliant by linking them with self-reliance. Through the commission easy loans are made available to women self-help groups for income generating activities. Along with this Kaushal Upgradation Scheme Saksham Scheme Swavalamban Scheme Entrepreneurship Program and Mahila Madai Program are being run for women.Implementing Agency Details
