Established on August 12 2000 the Itanagar Permanent Bench was inaugurated by the then Hon ble Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India Justice (Dr.) A.S. Anand. Located at Yupia (Naharlagun) in Arunachal Pradesh this bench was created to provide the residents of the state with more accessible and efficient judicial services reducing the need to travel to the principal seat in Guwahati for legal matters.
